Thelyphonus sp “RED” known for its striking red legs is a beautiful species to keep.

Unlike true scorpions, the whip scorpion does not have a venomous sting. Instead, some project an acrid fluid from glands positioned at the base of the tail. This tail is mostly for sensory purposes but can be flailed around like a whip, hence the name.

The narrow body enables the vinegaroon to hide in thin cracks, and its colouration makes excellent camouflage.
